Meet Dr. Wiedeman
A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, Dr. Richard Wiedeman has practiced dentistry in our community since 2001. Modern technology and comprehensive techniques, continue to guide the practice today.
Rick’s connection to Western North Carolina began during a visit to the area with his wife. They were drawn to the mountains and the sense of community they found in Black Mountain. One evening, while discussing whether this might be the place to build their life and raise a family, their headlights landed on a nearby building: WEIDEMAN DDS. The spelling was slightly different, but the message seemed pretty clear. They took it as a sign—and Western North Carolina became home.
Outside the office, Rick enjoys life in the mountains. A Kansas City native, he still has a love for barbecue, grilling, music, and is an avid fan of football, hockey and soccer. Western North Carolina is home, and Rick embraces the mountain life that first drew his family here—from the local music scene to long hikes with the family’s three Great Pyrenees—Thalía, Ashe, and Sadie. He and his wife also love traveling with their three adult children, who share a love of new experiences and adventures.
